Diwali Gift Ideas 2026: Painting Kits for Family, Friends and Employees

Sweets get eaten, dry fruit boxes get passed on, and candles get lit once. If you want a Diwali gift people remember, give them something to make. A paint by numbers kit is an evening (or a few) of painting, and at the end there's a finished piece of wall art that the person made themselves. Devotional designs like Lakshmi, Ganesha and Radha Krishna fit the season perfectly.

Here are our Diwali 2026 gift ideas by budget and by who you're buying for.

Diwali gifts under ₹500 to ₹1,000

• A small devotional kit. A Ganesha or Lakshmi design in a compact size is a thoughtful gift for relatives you visit during the festival. Browse religious and devotional kits.
• A glow-in-the-dark kit. Paint it in daylight, switch the lights off, and it glows. Our glow-in-the-dark kits start at ₹699 and make a fun gift for teenagers and young couples.
• A brush set or varnish add-on for the friend who already paints: premium brushes from ₹249 and gloss varnish from ₹79.

Diwali gifts under ₹1,000 to ₹3,000

• A Radha Krishna paint by numbers kit in a larger size, paired with a wooden frame kit. Painted, framed and hung in the pooja room, it lasts long after the festival.
• A family painting night. Pick one large kit and paint it together over the Diwali holidays. Kids take the big areas, adults take the faces.
• A custom kit from a family photo. The most personal Diwali gift on this list: last year's family photo, turned into a numbered canvas they paint themselves. Custom kits start at ₹1,499. Each one is made from your photo, so order early.

Diwali gift ideas for employees and clients

Corporate Diwali gifts tend to blur together. An activity gift stands out because people use it: each employee gets a kit in a design they choose and paints it at home or at a team session. Kits suit budgets from about ₹500 to ₹3,000 per person. For a mixed team, offer a choice of devotional, landscape and glow-in-the-dark designs from our DIY painting kits for adults range.

Diwali gifts for friends

• For the friend who says "I can't draw": a beginner-friendly landscape. Prove them wrong. Here's how paint by numbers works.
• For a couple: a custom kit of their wedding or travel photo to paint together.
• For a hostel or flat-mate group: a glow kit each and one painting night.

Why painting kits work as Diwali gifts

• They become home decor. A finished painting goes on the wall, often in the mandir or living room.
• Anyone can do it. No drawing skill is needed; every shape is numbered.
• Everything is in the box: numbered canvas, paints, brushes and a reference sheet.
• Easy to order: free shipping over ₹999, and Cash on Delivery on ready-made kits between ₹699 and ₹3,000.

Quick answers

What is a good Diwali gift for family under ₹1,000?

A ready-made paint by numbers kit of a Lakshmi, Ganesha or Radha Krishna design. It is something the whole family can paint together over the holidays, and it ends up framed in the home.

What are unique Diwali gift ideas for employees?

Activity gifts work well for teams: paint by numbers kits in a choice of designs, so each person paints their own piece. They are more memorable than sweets or dry fruit boxes and suit budgets from ₹500 to ₹3,000.

Can I gift a custom painting kit from a photo for Diwali?

Yes. A custom kit turns a family photo into a numbered canvas. Because each one is made from your photo, order early so it arrives in time.

Is a paint by numbers kit a good gift for someone who cannot draw?

It is ideal. The design is printed as numbered shapes and the paints are numbered to match, so no drawing skill is needed.
